still having the same freakin problem

as i have stated in a post before
i have an 05 crown vic that hesitates stumples and looses power at all speeds meanwhile while this is going on the check engine light gets real anoying and flashes at me then quits then i get power back then it flashes again then loose power

ive replaced the coil on the number one cylinder as that went bad
    also i have
put a fuel tank in a while ago about a year ago
    also
i do not have the cats under the car they were replaced with thrush tubes welded in
and no i dont want to hear the answer put cats back on there is plenty of back pressure with them on there my buddys dad is a mechanic and he looked at that for me

i have a couple codes that were thrown
multi missfire and also something related to throttle
ive tried to delete the codes it works then comes right back on
so what should i look at i am thinking the o2 sensors for a start
    also maybe spark plugs
and maybe reading the codes again

anyone else evey have a similer problem with there p71

also i have replaced the lcm under the dash once aupon a year ago

i do not believe my computer has been flashed before it went to auction then to the dealer where i baught it

any ideas i am really not great with the newer cars
i have a chilton for the car but it doesnt have my specific problems
the codes again are multiple missfire detected
    throttle postion sensor high output
and fuel level sensor curcuit high input
what all does this mean and do i have to replace the parts

I know it is hard to figure out what is wrong with a sick car. It is a lot harder to do when the car is not here. To help us help you please include all code numbers , mileage on the car and lets start there. Did it run the same before you removed the cats? Has it ever ran right?

Could be a head gasket leak. Get a vacuum test performed.

Check to make sure the connectors on your PCM are all pushed in and locked in place. That's the first thing I would do.
I think I stated in a prior thread to also check the tabs on the clips that go on the coil on plugs to make sure they aren't broke because if they are the loose connection will give you a misfire.
Most of the time a multiple misfire on different plugs would mean either the pcm connector isn't making proper contact, pcm may be crapped out which is worst case scenario or possibility it's time for all your cops to be change, not just the single one you changed.

Had a similar problem on my GT's 4.6 and it was a bad clip on one of the coils.
I also had a similar problem that threw multiple misfire codes and that was because while working on the car the computers main electrical clip wasn't locked in place and there was a loose connection. Let us know how you make out.

have you checked injectors or connections to injector harness or wires? that would make light go on and off. with respect to the one who guessed head gasket, that is not the problem unless there is water is leaking out tail pipe or water in oil or oil in radiator. i feel it is ignition or injector related.

I agree with Pecos, give us the whole story and the codes and maybe we can give you a better idea of what you are dealing with.

Flashing CEL light means (as you stated) a multi-misfire.
You said you replaced the #1 coil.. how did you know that was the bad one? Have you checked all the rest?

You might also want to check your manifold. A common problem with our vics is the plastic intake manifold cracking causing drops of coolant to pool in the spark plug wells. ANY amount of moisture in the plug wells WILL cause a misfire.

my buddies dad suggested i take them off cuase he took a look and said they were clogged

Sounds exactly like a problem I had with a car many years ago. Punch it and it stumbles. Got worse and worse until wouldn't go faster than 35. It was the fuel filter. totally clogged.

Thinking the best plan of attack would be a full tune-up=plugs, air filter, fuel filter, and oil w/filter because it probably needs it anyway and it don't hurt. Then check, clean, and in the north we dio-greese every plug and connector you can find including battery connections mainly the main ground. Over the years I've killed more electrical gremlins this way than anything that was really broke. As for that TPS code I don't know about the newer years but my old drag car was a '87 Stang and the TPS was adjustable.
E85 is green and I dont care. But its also 105 octane = 7300RPM shift point and I really care.
