Spotlight Installation?

Not sure if this is the right section, but i was wondering if anyone had any idea's on installing a spotlight? I have contacted garage's, body shops etc...Most places don't know how or aren't willing, others are asking $200-$300 dollars.

To me, that seems a bit steep for a $60 dollar spotlight. Does anybody have any idea's on how to install a spotlight, or how much they think a reasonable price would be? I have talked to a few people and they keep telling me it is simple and that most places could do it for around $50 bucks, but i am starting to think they don't know what they are talking about.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you hit up your local PD and ask who their Mechanic is they might do it for you .from what I can tell on mine you just need to drill a hole and slide it through and connect it

Thanks bro, i will check that out if i can't find somebody. It's not that i don't think i am capable of doing this, i just don't wanna drill holes in my car and screw it up. Body work is one thing as bondo fixes all

Check on the Unity web sight. I'm thinking they have the installation instructions there for just about any vehicle.

I installed the R/H side one on mine
Yes there are templats availlable from unity to get the hole drilled correctly but that costs more $$
Here is how I dit it:
Remove the molding
measure the distance from the rivet to your L/H spotlight
plot the same on the other side Drill a small hole making sure the hole intersects where the sheetmetal doubles just as it does on the right side spotlight post.
On the inside of car there is allready a big holled factory installed with electrical wire
Get a drill attachement augar type do-all as some mechanics call them to grind out the hole as needed. auger out the hole and do allot of fitting as you go.
Dont forget the door also needs a half moon type cutaway
Once the light is installed carefully close your door and mark where you need to start grinding away. Keep doing that untill enough material is removed to close the door and install rubber trim
