    2004 4R70W Slow Shifts

I have a 2004 Vic Interceptor I purchased at auction a couple of months ago. Ever since I had the car the transmission is very slow between shifts. Its almost embarrassing when you step on it and it falls on its face when changing gears. The motor does not rev more at shifts and the car takes off and cruises fine. I changed the fluid and filter as soon as I bought the car but it did not help any. Is it time for a trans rebuild or is it a broke spring or bad sensor? Thanks for any suggestions or help. Also the car has 140000 on it now but was surprisingly well taken care of by the local Ford dealer in the very small town where the police station was.

Jake: No I don't like it...
[Elwood Blues floors the pedal and jumps over an open drawbridge]
Jake: Car's got a lot of pickup.
Elwood: It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?

Both of my 04s shifted like snap, snap ,snap at wot. I never noticed any slippage at all until I put nitrous on one and then slippage was noticed. Had a j-mod done and all is fine now.

Thanks! I will order the new valve body gaskets today and plan the mod for next weekend.
