    Lightbulb Oil leak

I have a 1995 CV and it has an oil leak. Ive been trying to identify the part from my Hanes manual, but no luck. I found online that a lot of CV oil leaks occur from the external oil-to-coolant heat exchanger O-rings going bad. I have no idea what this looks like or where it would be or if its even on the '95 CV. The hose that appears to be leaking is coming off a piece that is right below the oil filter and runs down below the fan shroud. Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure on a '95 but if it is leaking could be the old hoses. I would replace the hoses and o-rings. I would not use the Dorman hoses though as there have too many people have to put several sets on to get ones that didn't leak.

Also not sure on the 95 model, but the 00 I have, the heat exchanger is up with the radiator. if that helps you.

Where is the oil leak coming from? do you see it up top?? or just underneath?

The oil filter adapter on your 1995 P71 has NPT to AN fittings which screw in for the oil cooler lines. There is a gasket/seal between this and your block. Your adapter gasket/seal could be leaking or your hoses could be leaking. The O-rings are at your heat exchanger which is below your radiator at the other end of the cooler lines.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Now I just need to make the time to take care of it. I think its just the O-rings. Its only leaking from the fittings and the hoses are in good condition. Sure going to check them while I have them off though.

    Re: Oil leak

Well i think this is the correct thread. i have a 95 with and oil leak at the engine side inner hose for oil cooler, oil hose releases tension at male end on block and is source of leak. bought ford part F5AZ6A715A as replacement. Question 1 how does hose release from radiator side [ just spins for me ] and 2 should i try to find second hose and replace it ? she may be old but we love her and would like to keep her on the road. Thanks
