Need Help fixing a Battery Light Problem

well I have My P71 for over 4 months now,My Battery warning Light comes on then will stay on a while and go off .
First I put a Amp reader to the Battery and get about 15 Volts(which is GTG from my cousin who is a mechanic )even with the light on My gauge Does not move either
he said could be the exciter wire ???? don't know that one,
Runs fine no loss in power or killing the Battery .Battery is GTG too.and ideals on this

    I also found out the 03 uses a 130 Alternator 6G

I have a similar problem in that my battery light will come one a few seconds after starting and stay on constantly. Like you I have good voltage and good charging. Could be an issue related to the cops ripping all the stuff out of it before they sold it. Who knows?

yelp same thing here all the charging system is good to go Battery light will come on ,but My volt meter does not move and when i hook up a meter everything checks out.

i wonder if it could be grounding out somewhere ???? My cousin the mechanic says that there is a exciter wire that could be grounding out,but I have yet to find it and it drives me nuts LOL

I have been lucky so far no major issues But still just the fact it it coming on I have the need to fix it i am OCD that way

The light may be for high voltage. I have seen TSBs which state to replace the alternator if it charges above 14.7 volts. 13.8-14.2 is considered normal range.
