Are you trying to troubleshoot a misfire code on your crown vic and are wondering how the cylinders are numbered?

Below is a picture of the firing order of a 4.6L ford crown victoria engine. This diagram would be potentially useful to someone trying to identify the location of a cylinder to troubleshoot a misfire code.

The two blocks in front of the engine are the coil packs used in 1992-1997 crown victoria's. 1998 and later crown vics do not use spark plug wires like the earlier models did, so you can disregard that portion of the diagram if you are working on a 1998+ crownvic.

And here is a diagram depicting the firing order of the legacy 1979-1991 302/351 (5.0L/5.8L) equipped "box body" crown victoria.
