    Who else uses Clay Bar?

I was a skeptic until about 5 years ago when I heard of it. I ordered some up and gave my car the rub down of her life.

I actually felt a difference and seeing the amount of JUNK that stuck to that bar.
Before when I ran my hand across the paint it felt.... you know... like a car.... it felt smooth.
After running the clay bar... WOW extremely slippery smooth, a huge difference, it was like night and day.

Who else uses it? What brand?

I use Mequires , amazing how well they work, also you have to be careful not to drop it, any small debris in it will scratch your finish.

I haven't used the clay yet. I purchased a polishing and cleaning kit from Griot's Garage and it came with a container of clay. I hear the clay makes a big difference. I just polished my 2009 CVPI with the Griot's Machine Polish #3 and finished it with the Best of Show Wax. It's like glass and an excellent shine!

I used one once on the Mustang & it really picked up some crud. I worry that the crud it captured will screw up my paint. Should probably have gotten a few bars.

I painted my car back in Feb and the Maaco guy said to wait at least a month before waxing or placing any chemicals on the paint. But its just about a month now, the wife has agreed to help me Clay Bar the whole car over this weekend, and I have one some major changes to the car and promised pics for everyone so I will take some pics and see if I can really catch the difference in some good pics and post them.

I probably don't know what I am talking about, but I would check with macco before using a clay bar. I know that a clay bar works wonders on clear lacquer paint but Macco (on my car) uses acrylic Enamel without a clear coat.

I've used clay bar for years and love it! Best step prior to waxing, it pulls off all the crud that's stuck to the paint. I use Griot's Garage Clay Bar.

I had my car painted Black back in March, and haven't used clay bar as of yet. Letting the paint settle and harden but I plan on using it soon. I am looking forward to the results.

I've used a clay bar on other vehicles but not on my Vic (I have the dreaded peeling paint syndrome).

I agree with relsoc, the best thing to do before waxing. It is time consuming but the result are well worth it!
