Most would agree. I think the old battleaxe could be upgraded again. Old folks and car rental agencies still buy the Town Car and Grand Marquis by the trailer load!

I doubt it. I believe the Marauder was an attempt to sell a 'sporty' version of the Panther-platform cars, and it didn't pan out. Perhaps if they made a GT version that was equipped JUST LIKE the P71 'Appearance Package' cars with civvie interior, chrome-stripped door molding, 'GT' badging, the police suspension parts, dual exhaust, and kept the price reasonable they could sell more.

hmmm police dept's were always complaining about power i'd assume almost a hundred more horses would've solved the complaints,it'd atleast keep it in the neighborhood of the charger

Give 'em thirty more 'real' horsies, another 5 mpg, and shave 300 lbs. off of it and they'd be happy.

It is really hard to make law enforcement happy, When S&W came out with what they thought to be what the FBI wanted in a handgun ( the 10mm round and auto chambered for it) they cried "It recoils too much". What the FBI wanted was a round that would take down a Elephant with the recoil of a .22 long rifle. All the same with cars. I am glad to see that Ford did put level III armor in the front doors. I hope that Ford is doing that with Kevlar and not metal, if metal the front doors will be falling off.
I have heard that Taurus will have a built in roll bar, does anybody know for sure?

i love these cars!!!! just took mine on an 800 mile ride to Pasadena and back... performed like a champ, even climbing the grapevine in 100 degree weather... had a great time and got down there on one tank of gas and back on one tank...
