Got my tuner from Brenspeed yesterday after work ( midnight ). Had to install. Took it to work today in the frozen "Nort" . Seems like the trans is tighter but, couldn't romp on it yet. Will the J-mod work great with both springs or will it bark like a dorky dog ?

Sct is a brand of tuner like Diablosport & similar to a chip but, can be altered where as a chip can not. Increases performance/mileage due to remapping of computer. Can be tuned for 87,89,91, & 93 octane.
Thanks, I don't want to sound like a dumb ass but the last time I did any serious auto work was when a car computer was a black box on a Ford and found out the hard way to replace it only with a NEW Motorcraft one.

SCT stands for Superchip tuner. i have one also,for my year 1999 the model number is 3015 or 3000. diff. model number is for a diff. tuner options. both have the exact identical tune. for more information on a sct tuner you can go directly to the website at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] they can give you more info then i can on their website. i sent out for a custom tune for my car also.
1999 Crown Vic P71, 223,xxx miles and going strong, Thrush welded Mufflers, Honeycomb grill swap, ex MD state police car still painted green/black, SCT tuner with Blue Oval Chips custom tune INSTALLED, 70mm throttle body,05 CVPI air assembly and zip tube, and got lucky on gears, came with 3.55 locker.
some awesome fellow p71 owners wouldnt happen to have a spare sct tuner laying around someone who totally isnt me in disguise could use to reflash the ECM would ya? being a full time student doesnt allow me the spare 400 bucks for one new.

Change shift points, run 93 and bump up the timing with a race tune, have your fans come on sooner....etc...

a chip? so i can chip the 2000 ecm? huh. i figured it was a pcm/ecm reflash. well thats good news i suppose, unfortunately trying to weed out the Bullshit chips from the real deals is the next leg of the journey then huh

flash tuner huh....again, wish someone had one close to topeka ks (like 75 miles in any direction close lol) and was willing to let a fellow p71 owner bask in the awesome glory of a tuned ecm...otherwise i have no idea how to get one since they are again around 400 bucks. damn school.....wish i didnt want my ASE certifications so bad, but i graduate this december....
