Re: Welcome to The Police Interceptor Forums!

hey guys, i have a 1999 crown vic ex MD state trooper car. 223,000 miles. only thing i had to do since owning is new tires and rotors, brakes. i am currently fixing the fuel pump. i first checked the relay fuse and swapped it out to maybe check a easy fix, then i bypassed the pump relay and wired it directly to see if maybe relay was bad, but in the end it was what i thought it was, the dreaded fuel pump.

my mods are CAI and thrush welded mufflers ( flowmaster delta 40 knockoffs-sound exactly the same but only cost 34.00)
the MZT mod for the money can be done cheaper. in reality your seeing the big gain from the "tune" more then the new air intake. aftermarket CAI with tune is about 3 hp off from the MZT mod costing around 600 bucks. save yourself 200 bucks or so and get a CAI and tune. the stock MAF is way big enough for stock application. its 70 mm stock and 80 mm MZT mod, thus the reason you HAVE to get a tune with the MZT mod.
