well guys heres another little tidbit, this time about the power steering. has your PS got hard to turn but makes no noise? is it hard to steer and easy all in the same turn? well chances are its NOT your PS pump. usually but not always they start to make noise before going. so try this and see if it helps you out.
1) pop the hood and locate the steering shaft coming from firewall. inspect u-joints for rust.
2) locate the u-joints connecting the two shafts together and spray the hell out of it with wd40 or pb blaster (way better then wd40)...
3) start car and turn wheels back and forth..repeat several times.
4) after (if) the steering returns to normal lube the u-joints with grease (no fitting so use your imagination)
if you notice your steering starting to return to normal then you know its the u-joints and not the ps pump. mine got real hard to turn and easy then hard as i made a single turn, after i did the above it returned 100% to normal, now i was lucky and you might not be. you may have to replace the u-joints/shafts. like i mentioned above though if the steering gets easier at least you know its not the pump. i linked a pic that shows the steering shaft, doesnt matter what year you look at they are the same u-joints. in the very first picture dead center is the u-joints, you will find this near the firewall on the driver side (duh) next to the engine block. yours might not look as good as the pic, if its rusty, it might be your problem.
