Re: great information if your thinking of the MZT upgrade or K&N CAI..must read!

Pre made tunes on my mustang. The timing was advance so I needed to run higher octane.
My vic runs better on a 91 or higher octane fuel. No pre detonation or pinging on the 87 octane but it doesnt run as smooth.

Our cars have dual exhaust so why wouldn't more air in the intake benefit from that. what is the point of increasing the size of the airbox setup if it wasnt going to make a difference

The race tune on the mustang like I said bypassed the sensors so it wouldnt throw a code. That tune would also take 93 and higher octane fuel because the timing was bumped higher in the tune.

If your vic doesn't run well on 87 I would suggest you have it checked out by a mechanic. There are major problems with your engine if that is happening.
And the only reason that ford made the airbox bigger in 04+ is because they increased the size of the mass air flow meter. It went from 70mm to 80mm. That's really the most important part of your upper intake.
The mass air flow meter upgrade is the point of the "mzt". 03-04 marauders also got a 80mm mass air meter, but it was more advanced than the one that the 04+ P71 gets.

Nothing wrong with my engine, but then my question is what is the point of a larger mass air flow sensor?
What does it do for you?

i can only imagine a larger inflow of air. which means more fuel, which equates to less in the gas tank over longer periods of time. im good, if i want moar powuh, ill swap motors.
